Tungsten resin soft shielding material has high shielding, green environmental protection, controllable density, high flexibility, and excellent machinability. It is an ideal alternative to traditional shielding materials and can be processed into other shapes of shields.
Preparation
Tungsten resin soft shielding material is a lead free and high density resin radiation shielding material formed by mixing about 10% of metal powder in chloroprene rubber. High density resin is obtained by adding tungsten, tantalum, niobium oxide and other additives. The shielding material does not contain lead and has a lighter weight. The effect of shielding radiation is better than that of lead material.
Applications
Tungsten resin soft shielding materials can be processed into vials containing radioactive drugs, shielding materials for syringes, shielding mats used in the detection of nuclear facilities, and shielding materials for X-ray devices for inspecting portable objects.
