Why the K, Na content in APT should be well controlled?
During producing tungsten oxide and tungsten powder, K and Na form molten states during calcination as the melting point of K and Na are low, which causes crystal grains to adhere to each other and form agglomeration. And it is not conducive to control the crystal morphology of tungsten carbide.
There are also customers having strict requirements on the content of Cl in APT.
This is because the furnace tube will be more corrosive and therefore seriously affect the service life of these pieces of equipment during calcinating if the Cl content is higher.
