Grade 2 yellow tungsten oxide, also called grade 2 tungsten trioxide, is a type of yellow tungsten oxide classified in accordance with Chinese standard. Its grade is WO3-2. It is inferior to super grade yellow tungsten oxide and grade 1 yellow tungsten oxide. It can be prepared by using sodium tungstate.
Sodium tungstate is an important intermediate material during the process of producing tungsten metal from tungsten concentrate. It is mainly used to prepare ammonium paratungstate and then further processing tungsten trioxide, tungsten metal products, tungsten carbide, and so on.
Sodium tungstate preparing yellow tungsten oxide process:
Step one: Dissolve 3.5g sodium tungstate (Na2WO4?2H2O) in 20ml distilled water.
Step two: Prepare hydrated tungstic acid solution sol by hydrogen acid ion exchange resin with above solution.
Step three: Receive the dropped sol with 70ml glass and stir the obtained sol.
Step four: Add 4.84g citric acid into the obtained sol, stir it evenly, and then yellow tungsten oxide is obtained.
