Appearance of spherical tungsten powder is spherical, compared with ordinary tungsten powder, has good powder flow and high density of vibration, is widely used in thermal spraying, porous materials and powder metallurgy industry.
Characteristic
The appearance is as grey as ordinary tungsten powder and is observed under a microscope or under a scanning electron microscope as a spherical or quasi-spherical shape.
The average particle size is between 5 and 10 u m, and its granularity is easy to control.
The particle size distribution can be well adapted to the application requirements of the barium tungsten cathode. 4 ~ 15 u m particles account for more than 85% of the total weight, and 0 ~ 3 u m particles are less than 3% of the total weight.
Preparation
The preparation methods include plasma melting, tungsten powder special reduction method, single cavity method and so on. The production cost of plasma method is high, and the single mode cavity method is inefficient.
