YTO, the abbreviation of yellow tungsten oxide, also called tungsten trioxide (WO3), is a yellow or bright green powder with the formula WO3-x, loose specific weight of 2.3~2.8g/cm3.
The property of yellow tungsten oxide is stable at room temperature.
Grades
According to national standards, tungsten trioxide is usually divided into three grades, namely super grade (WO3-0), grade 1(WO3-1) and grade 2 (WO3-2). In addition, each manufacturer will produce yellow tungsten oxide with different specification because of the difference of raw material, processing technology, equipment and other factors during the actual production process.
Applications
1. For the manufacture of fire-resistant fabrics and gas sensors.
2. For producing the phosphor of X-ray screen.
3. For the production of chemical products, such as a catalyst for the oil industry, coloring agent for ceramics and paint.
4. For the preparation of tungsten powder and tungsten carbide powder, and then for producing metal tungsten products, tungsten alloys and tungsten carbide.
