90W8.8Ni1.2Fe tungsten alloy rod has very high melting point and a density twice that of steel is more than 50% heavier than lead. Due to its high density, tungsten alloys offer greater radiation shielding than lead and is non-toxic. It is electrically and thermal conductive and offer good corrosion resistance. It also has a low coefficient of expansion and a high modulus of elasticity.
