Sinoma International: Consortium Signs RMB 2.7 Billion Dashih River Molybdenum Mine Mining and Beneficiation Engineering PC General Contract

        On December 5, 2025, Sinoma International released an announcement stating that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yanzhou Sinoma Construction Co., Ltd. (referred to as “the Contractor”), together with Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., formed a contracting consortium, with the Contractor acting as the sole representative of the consortium. The consortium signed the “Dashih River Molybdenum Mine Mining and Beneficiation Engineering PC General Contract” with Jilin Jinshan Investment Co., Ltd. (referred to as “the Client”), with a tentative total contract amount of RMB 2.7 billion.

        The announcement indicates that the project is located in Dunhua City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province. The contract covers molybdenum mining and beneficiation, with a comprehensive processing capacity of 15,000 t/d, mainly including equipment and material procurement, construction, and construction management. The contract duration is calculated from the date of the commencement order to the completion of the project (when it meets the conditions for formal production and operation, achieving a molybdenum mining and beneficiation comprehensive processing capacity of 15,000 t/d), with an estimated construction period of 15 months and a trial production period of 3 months, totaling 18 months. Additionally, the contract stipulates a winter construction fee adjustment scheme and a price adjustment mechanism. Price changes due to commodity price fluctuations will be based on the construction cost information released by the Dunhua City Construction Cost Management Station of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture on the effective date of this contract for steel and commercial concrete used in the construction and installation phases. Fluctuations of ≤10% will not be adjusted; if greater than 10%, the portion exceeding or falling below 10% will be adjusted by both parties.

Additionally, molybdenum and its alloys play important roles in aerospace high-temperature components, re-entry vehicle thermal protection, and other scenarios requiring long-term endurance of extreme temperatures and mechanical loads.
