Rare Earth Market – November 14, 2025

Rare earth market update on November 14, 2025

This week, the overall domestic rare earth market was average. Under the influence of various uncertainties, light and heavy rare-earth markets performed slightly differently, with actual transaction volumes still having considerable room for growth.

In the light rare-earth market, praseodymium-neodymium prices showed a pattern of rising first and then falling. At the beginning of the week, magnet material enterprises had good inquiry and procurement enthusiasm, prompting suppliers to raise quotes, but approaching the weekend, due to weakening downstream demand and insufficient bullish support, mainstream products showed signs of high-level callbacks.

In the medium-heavy rare-earth market, the overall situation presented a "priced but no market" pattern. Low buying interest from downstream users, production costs failing to effectively support prices, and increasing spot supply volumes led to oscillating declines in dysprosium-terbium prices.

According to CTIA GROUP LTD, this week: praseodymium-neodymium oxide prices rose by approximately RMB 1,000 per ton, an increase of 0.18%; praseodymium-neodymium metal prices fell by approximately RMB 1,000 per ton, a decrease of 0.15%; terbium oxide prices fell by approximately RMB 50,000 per ton, a decrease of 0.75%; dysprosium oxide prices fell by approximately RMB 60,000 per ton, a decrease of 3.77%; 55N NdFeB blank prices rose by approximately RMB 3 per kilogram, an increase of 1.16%; NdFeB scrap (praseodymium-neodymium) prices rose by approximately RMB 8 per kilogram, an increase of 1.39%. From this, it can be seen that praseodymium-neodymium prices fluctuated in a narrow range this week, dysprosium-terbium prices ran weakly, and NdFeB blanks and their scrap prices saw small increases.

According to the official website of the Baotou Industry and Information Technology Bureau, in September 2025, among the 9 key rare earth products monitored in Baotou City, 6 rose, 1 remained stable, and 2 declined month-on-month, with 8 rising and 1 declining year-on-year. The highest month-on-month increase was for metallic neodymium, with an average price of RMB 785,000 per ton, increased by RMB 70,000 per ton month-on-month, a rise of 9.8%, and increased by RMB 257,450 per ton year-on-year, a rise of 48.8%. The highest year-on-year increase was for cerium oxide, with an average price of RMB 10,900 per ton, increased by RMB 150 per ton month-on-month, a rise of 1.4%, and increased by RMB 3,700 per ton year-on-year, a rise of 51.4%.
