According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, from January to August 2025, China's exports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) totaled 10,800 tons, representing a year-on-year decrease of 13.05% compared to the same period in 2024. The export value amounted to RMB 3.387 billion, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 2.90%.
From January to August 2025, China exported:
Tungstic acid: 143.11 tons, a year-on-year increase of 132.31%.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 264.54 tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.85%.
Sodium tungstate: 138.21 tons, a year-on-year increase of 616.12%.
Ammonium metatungstate: 2,424.72 tons, a year-on-year increase of 81.37%.
Ferro-tungsten: 1,665.79 tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.08%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 1,610.12 tons, a year-on-year increase of 238.71%.
Tungsten wire: 261.60 tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.23%.
Tungsten trioxides: 751.06 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 62.86%.
Other tungsten oxides & hydroxides, nes: 277.77 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 66.80%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 212.50 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 49.47%.
Carbides of tungsten: 1,313.50 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 52.31%.
Tungsten powders: 969.85 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.21%.
Tungsten waste and scrap: 262.20 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 38.43%.
Bars & rods, excluding those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 256.87 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 50.63%.
Additionally, from January to August 2025, China exported:
Knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 1,050.76 tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.09%.
Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 1,264.42 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.21%.
