According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, in August 2025, China's exports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) totaled 1,802.00 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 22.52% compared to August 2024 and a month-on-month increase of 6.46% compared to July 2025. The export value amounted to RMB 601 million, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 35.08% and a month-on-month increase of 9.81%.
In August 2025, China exported:
Tungstic acid: 50 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 99.74% and a month-on-month decrease of 99.88%.
Tungsten trioxides: 260.59 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 28.22% but a month-on-month increase of 86.13%.
Other tungsten oxides & hydroxides, nes: 80.00 tons, a year-on-year increase of 98.77%, with no recorded exports in July 2025.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 23.36 tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.31% but a month-on-month decrease of 35.96%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 9,000 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 80.43% and a month-on-month decrease of 78.05%.
Sodium tungstate: 38.88 tons, a year-on-year increase of 498.22% but a month-on-month decrease of 49.65%.
Ammonium metatungstate: 315.84 tons, a year-on-year increase of 116.90% but a month-on-month decrease of 14.79%.
Carbides of tungsten: 357.65 tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.77% but a month-on-month decrease of 2.62%.
Ferro-tungsten: 158.00 tons, a year-on-year increase of 19.70% and a month-on-month increase of 26.40%.
Tungsten powders: 143.12 tons, a year-on-year increase of 298.22% but a month-on-month decrease of 14.55%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 285.50 tons, a year-on-year increase of 231.21% and a month-on-month increase of 51.79%.
Tungsten wire: 38.46 tons, a year-on-year increase of 14.15% and a month-on-month increase of 23.31%.
Tungsten waste and scrap: 22.40 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 57.74% and a month-on-month decrease of 45.00%.
Bars & rods, excluding those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, sheets, strips, and foils: 25.71 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 78.20% and a month-on-month decrease of 26.32%.
Additionally, in August 2025, China exported:
Knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 129.47 tons, a year-on-year increase of 11.49% but a month-on-month decrease of 1.20%.
Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 157.29 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.26% but a month-on-month increase of 2.98%.
