According to CTIA GROUP LTD Online, based on data compiled from the General Administration of Customs, China’s molybdenum product imports from January to July 2025 totaled 47,759.19 tons, increased by 25.80% year-on-year; the cumulative import value was 6.947 billion yuan, increased by 34.29% year-on-year.
Among these, from January to July, China imported 6,673.75 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 125.92% year-on-year; 34,548.01 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 22.22% year-on-year; 1,244.66 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, decreased by 3.86% year-on-year; 1,354.54 tons of ammonium molybdate, increased by 273.23% year-on-year; 636.58 tons of other molybdates, increased by 3.36% year-on-year; 3,116.46 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 26.74% year-on-year; 2.83 tons of molybdenum powder, increased by 38.44% year-on-year; 13.54 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, increased by 225,500.00% year-on-year; 128.94 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, sheets, strips, and foils, decreased by 28.67% year-on-year; 25.78 tons of molybdenum wire, increased by 37.75% year-on-year; and 14.12 tons of other molybdenum products, increased by 9.93% year-on-year.
China’s molybdenum product exports from January to July 2025 totaled 21,222.17 tons, decreased by 9.52% year-on-year; the cumulative export value was 4.557 billion yuan, decreased by 14.22% year-on-year.
Among these, from January to July, China exported 8,231.39 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 5.71% year-on-year; 5,146.15 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 10.53% year-on-year; 1,281.69 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, decreased by 28.17% year-on-year; 195.10 tons of ammonium molybdate, decreased by 33.63% year-on-year; 207.38 tons of other molybdates, increased by 2.20% year-on-year; 3,138.15 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 30.42% year-on-year; 14.64 tons of molybdenum powder, decreased by 90.80% year-on-year; 1,179.50 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including simply sintered bars and rods, decreased by 32.71% year-on-year; 362.46 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, sheets, strips, and foils, decreased by 25.77% year-on-year; 185.09 tons of molybdenum wire, increased by 10.78% year-on-year; 1,121.89 tons of molybdenum scrap and fragments, decreased by 25.15% year-on-year; and 158.73 tons of other molybdenum products, increased by 1.74% year-on-year.
