According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, in the second quarter of 2025, China's exports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) amounted to 3,941.04 tons, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 23.85% compared to the second quarter of 2024, and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 18.82% compared to the first quarter of 2025. The export value was RMB 1.234 billion, showing a year-on-year decrease of 14.30% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 22.74%.
Breakdown of Tungsten Product Exports from April to June 2025
From April to June 2025, China exported the following tungsten products:
Tungstic acid: 44.00 tons, a year-on-year increase of 89.66% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 24.66%.
Tungsten trioxides: 20 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 97.59% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 93.95%.
Other tungsten oxides and hydroxides, nes: 40.00 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 88.53% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 74.64%.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 77.12 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.05% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 39.55%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 40.00 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 76.74% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 67.35%.
Sodium tungstate: 21.10 kilograms, a year-on-year increase of 298.11% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 2010.00%.
Ammonium metatungstate: 1,176.15 tons, a year-on-year increase of 102.04% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 109.25%.
Carbides of tungsten: 297.00 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 73.18% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 1.86%.
Ferro-tungsten: 764.67 tons, a year-on-year increase of 38.57% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 23.71%.
Tungsten powders: 248.39 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 56.58% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 39.54%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars and rods obtained simply by sintering: 855.58 tons, a year-on-year increase of 327.79% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 204.52%.
Tungsten wire: 102.67 tons, a year-on-year increase of 24.12% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 15.01%.
Tungsten waste and scrap: 92.57 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 52.85% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 13.08%.
Bars and rods, exclude those obtained simply by sintering; profiles, plates, etc.: 81.09 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 63.23% and a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 29.60%.
Additionally, from April to June 2025, China exported:
