The following is the import and export data of Chinese molybdenum products compiled by Chinatungsten Online based on the information released by the General Administration of Customs of China: In January 2025, China’s molybdenum product imports totaled 7,268.66 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 13.46% and a year-on-year increase of 8.29%. The import value was 1.038 billion yuan, down 13.17% month-on-month but up 43.50% year-on-year.
Among them, in January 2025, China imported 347.88 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, up 15.96% year-on-year; 5,460.17 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, up 52.21% year-on-year; 86.63 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, down 75.96% year-on-year; 150.50 tons of ammonium molybdate, up 63.58% year-on-year; 203.20 tons of other ammonium molybdates, up 104.88% year-on-year; 1,006.26 tons of ferromolybdenum, up 28.97% year-on-year; 260.00 kilograms of molybdenum powder, down 50.94% year-on-year; 1 kilogram of unwrought molybdenum (including bars and rods simply sintered), up 100% year-on-year; 10.21 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special shapes, as well as sheets, strips, and foils, down 70.01% year-on-year; 1 ton of molybdenum wire, down 12.49% year-on-year; and 2.38 tons of other molybdenum products, up 97.34% year-on-year.
In January 2025, China’s molybdenum product exports totaled 3,532.38 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 4.95% and a year-on-year decrease of 2.77%. The export value was 758 million yuan, down 10.99% month-on-month and 8.40% year-on-year.
Among them, in January 2025, China exported 1,072.57 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, down 22.41% year-on-year; 705.55 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, up 44.08% year-on-year; 181.03 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, down 62.07% year-on-year; 22.56 tons of ammonium molybdate, down 63.98% year-on-year; 19.85 tons of other ammonium molybdates, down 27.01% year-on-year; 974.80 tons of ferromolybdenum, up 82.74% year-on-year; 6.61 tons of molybdenum powder, down 65.92% year-on-year; 112.26 tons of unwrought molybdenum (including bars and rods simply sintered), down 62.92% year-on-year; 169.08 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special shapes, as well as sheets, strips, and foils, up 99.67% year-on-year; 21.74 tons of molybdenum wire, down 19.43% year-on-year; 231.06 tons of molybdenum waste and scrap, up 9.51% year-on-year; and 15.27 tons of other molybdenum products, down 3.29% year-on-year.
