The barium tungsten cathode is composed of a porous matrix uniformly filled with barium salt. The barium oxide component in the barium salt easily absorbs moisture and other impurities. To ensure the effectiveness of the barium tungsten cathode product, it is required not to be exposed to the atmosphere for more than 48 hours before use, and maximum efforts should be made to prevent moisture, dust, and other pollutants from contacting the product.
To ensure optimal performance, all operations on the electrode should be carried out in a very clean, dry environment. Oil stains or other contaminants on the fingers can affect the activation of the electrode and the performance of the final finished lamp.
