Nano yellow tungsten oxide is not only a type of near-infrared shielding material, but also a kind of wettability material. As a heat-insulating material, yellow tungsten oxide can be applied to building glass, car window glass, and the like. As a wettability material, the surface wetting properties need to be tested.
It is worth to note that the study on the wettability of yellow tungsten oxide is still not deep enough, which greatly limits its practical application in industry. Hence, the combination of yellow tungsten oxide and wettability has great significance with the development of its preparations.
Wettability Test of Surface of Yellow Tungsten Oxide
1. Measure contact angle of water in air: Wetting property of the sample surface was measured directly by CA;
2. Underwater oil contact angle: The sample was placed in the glass tank filled with water, and the wettability of the oil droplet on the surface of the sample was measured by CA.
The oil droplet used in the experiment was chloroform, and the droplet size was controlled to 5μl.
